The NUCB Business School welcomed Prof. Fred Kei-tat Ku as a visiting faculty member from our partner institution the Chinese University of Hong Kong last week to teach a course on Managerial Economics. The course introduces managers to an economic toolkit and strategic analysis framework for making managerial decisions in the modern business landscape with scarce resources and competitive pressures. Here’s what Prof. Ku had to say about his time at the NUCB Business School.
I enjoyed a lot exploring economics and engaging students in the class discussion. Students have been very devoted, actively contributing to class discussion with not only their knowledge in the topic, but also their personal views and past experience. It as an important part of class discussion and case method teaching, as other students who have relatively little work experience can also learn from their peers, creating an active and interactive learning environment.
I hope students will also find the Managerial Economics class enjoyable, and at the same time an eye-opening experience that brought them new perspectives. All in all, I had a great time at the NUCB Business School. It’ll be my great honour if I can have the chance to teach here again.
