Nana Otsuki is a Professor in Faculty of Economics at Nagoya University of Commerce and Business. She received a bachelor’s degree from Tokyo university and an MBA from London Business School. After working in a Japanese bank, she has maintained to be named among the top in various analyst rankings as a team head at S&P Global Ratings, as a financial research head at UBS Securities and as a financial organization and domestic-demand related sector head at Merrill Lynch Japan Securities. She is an Executive Managing Officer of Monex, Inc. since January 2016 and an Outside Director of Credit Saison Co., Ltd. since June 2017. She serves as a member of Fiscal System Council Fiscal System sectional committee (April 2017 to present), a member of Third-Party Assessment Committee of Nippon Export and Investment Insurance (June 2017 to present), a member of Tokyo Public Funds Management Advisory Board (March 2010 to present) and she has also served as a member of Deposit Insurance Corporation of Japan and deposit Insurance Rates Investigatory Committee (2014 to 2015), a member of assessment committee for reserves, etc in connection with METI’s privatization of Shoko Chukin Bank (2007), and a member of FSA’s Bank Rating System Investigatory Committee (2005).
