On Tuesday, April 16th in the parking lot of the NUCB Business School the staff and administration of the school arranged a welcome party for new international students in the graduate school. The party is hosted yearly by the President, Hiroshi Kurimoto, who wants to bring a warm welcome to the students that represent over 40 nationalities to Japan in the school’s English MBA track and MIM degree track. Various cultural experiences and performances were arranged. During the party, students were treated to an exhibition of Kenbu and Karate. Prof. Seiichiro Iwasawa started off the party with an obligatory ‘kompai’ speech and a slideshow presentation helped make introductions possible to this new cohort of students.
Of course, it would not be a party without great food! The staff of the graduate school and volunteers from the undergraduate school made tempura of various kinds and served cold drinks to the international students. Faculty, alumni and students from the Japanese language track degrees are also joined in the party which was a great success on a cool early spring night in downtown Nagoya!
