In August of 2019 as the summer heat begins to draw to a close, a new beginning is in the works for the group of seventy-eight international students from thirty different countries and more than thirty-five different business schools. They've all been drawn to Japan for one singular purpose, to expand their educational horizons at the NUCB Business School for the Fall 2019 Semester.
Nestled in the heart of Nagoya the Chiyoda Residence and Higashiyama Global Center will be home for the new group of international students who are here to study at the NUCB Business School. Overcoming jet lag and learning about Japanese culture are just the first two steps in their new adventure. Both the Chiyoda Residence Hall and Higashiyama Global Center are located in central Nagoya and offer quick and convenient access to the Marunouchi Tower Campus Building.
Following check-in for the residence halls the students attended orientation where they learned about the history of the school, it’s history, and motto “Frontier Spirit”. Embracing this motto of “Frontier Spirit” new students are boldly stepping out into the unknown to take the first steps in becoming the business leaders of tomorrow.
Life in Nagoya for the new group of international students brings many challenges and opportunities not least of which is the challenging but rewarding Case Method curriculum used at the NUCB Business School. Students will dive into real cases from companies with a strong emphasis on participation, critical thinking, and creativity. Whether they are here for a 4-month exchange, or for the full 2-year MBA program our international students will embrace the NUCB Business School’s unique learning style and expand their business knowledge and network.
The NUCB Business School has 113 elite global partner institutions in 51 countries around the world. As the most globally oriented business school in Central Japan and one of the top leading business schools in all of Japan, the emphasis on study abroad and international exchange is a key driver of the mission at the NUCB Business School.
