Harvard-Style Case Method

The case method practiced in MBA education was born over 100 years ago at Harvard Business School in 1922. Enabling participants in MBA courses to simulate the experiences of protagonists described in actual business situations leading to game-changing decisions, participant-centered case method teaching transforms the classroom into a learning community, sharing the common goal of broadening world views and perspectives as practitioners through case-based, class-wide discussions and debate. All classes at NUCB Business School are taught using the case method.

Advantage

MBA education develops leaders who take action. Even with the transitory nature of business, leaders are still expected to make the right decisions, despite uncertain environments and insufficient information. Leaders need to have the ability to not only determine the correct solutions, but also to communicate advantages convincingly, and nurture their teams to harness their passion and synergy. Case method, the heart of the programs offered at NUCB Business School, nurtures leaders who can fill the complex roles expected of them and rise to the challenges of business today.

Opening Benefit

  • Participants in 4 or more program sessions who apply for the MBA degree program will have their application fees reimbursed after completing the enrollment examination. (Orientation attendance is not counted.)

  1. Case Method

All sessions will be taught entirely in English using Harvard-style case method, and delivered by the same faculty members who conduct courses for our triple-crown accredited MBA program.

  2. Evening Classes

Bringing fresh insights from your workplace to the classroom will maximize the impact on your professional development. These sessions will be held on Wednesdays from 6:30-9 PM, allowing participants to balance studies with other commitments.

  3. Ease of access

Onsite sessions are as accessible as ever at the Marunouchi Building in front of Tokyo Station. With our Tokyo student lounge also available for use after classes, opportunities for meaningful networking await you.
