Fall 2022 MSc
The goal of the MSc degree program is to instill in our students the motivation for embarking upon or enhancing successful and rewarding careers in global business environments. This is reflective of the school's founding vision of embracing a "Frontier Spirit." Our faculty and staff members provide students with the knowledge and skills needed for future employment and leadership opportunities at the Master's level.
Courses are conducted 100% in English and follow the Case Method, in order to promote cultural diversity and facilitate learning. Case Method is proven as the global standard for top-level business schools to develop practical experience in the academic theater.
The MSc degree can be obtained in 2 years. The length of study can be reduced to 1.5 years for outstanding students or extended to up to 4 years for students who wish to continue working.
Improving the quality of management education, our school puts a high value on international accreditation. Fewer than 5% hold AACSB accreditation among global business schools, and fewer than 2% hold AMBA accreditation.
The MSc in Management (MiM) program will prepare you for your role in the global economy by introducing to your perspective principles of business management unique to Asia that are emphasized in analysis of both Western-based and Asian-based companies throughout the program. The flexibility built into the curriculum means that students can take weekend-only courses part-time or mix weekend and weekday courses full-time. Regardless of your personal experience and individual ambitions, you can awaken your potential through a program tailored to meet your needs.
The MIM (MSc in Management) degree track offers global students an academically familiar and balanced schedule to study abroad in Japan. Courses are conducted entirely on weekdays and occur once every other week. In between the curriculum-based elective courses for exchange students, the Japanese language course is offered as well as cultural enrichment activities in the Nagoya area. The MIM is focused on accelerating the practical business management potential of young global leaders through the Case Method in a format that matches the MBA degree tracks.
# 1 MiM in Japan
# 8 MiM in Asia
International accreditation associations, such as AACSB, EQUIS, and AMBA accredit business schools meeting their strict standards for educational quality and institutional excellence. Although there are more than 10,000 management education programs in the world, only programs with international accreditation are taken seriously by those in the global business community. The accreditation of our MSc ensures that the degree you earn will be recognized by employers and institutions worldwide, regardless of where your career path will take you.
Our school has established student exchange partnerships with more than 120 leading business schools, from 54 countries across 5 continents. In our exchange program, students are able to study abroad with tuition fees at partner schools waived. There are also scholarship programs for study abroad students who demonstrate the highest levels of excellence.
After completing one year of study at NUCB Business School and one year of study abroad, students in our Double Degree Program obtain two Masters degrees - one at our school and one at a partner school. This unique program provides an advanced experience of international education, and a unique qualification with which to further your career in the global business community.
