You will probably experience some kind of "crisis" in the future. It may be a financial crisis, a war, or a personal crisis related to your family. In this lecture, we will discuss what a "crisis" is. What kinds of crises have occurred in the past? What kinds of companies, situations, and environments are most likely to experience a crisis? How should we deal with them when they occur?

Review

  • I was able to understand the financial situation in Japan and other aspects of the case, which helped me to understand the crisis from multiple perspectives.

  • I was able to deepen my understanding of crisis management through academic suggestions and discussions, which I have not had many opportunities to experience.

  • The class was a valuable opportunity to gain a comprehensive knowledge of the financial system and crisis, and the professor's insights on the latest trends.

    Management 40s Male

  • I was able to fully understand the difference between risk management and crisis management, and the significance of being aware of crisis management during normal times.

  • Each opinion expressed by each member was carefully taken into consideration, and the environment was conducive to speaking up. In addition, the supplementary explanations afterwards helped me understand what the key words were in the comments.

  • Based on the perspective of crisis management, the lecture was very meaningful because it covered a wide range of topics, from overall corporate management to national financial issues, and also included content from an economic perspective. I felt that it would be a waste of time to imagine the content of this class just from the word "crisis management". I was able to spend a very fulfilling time. Thank you very much.

  • By learning about Crisis Management, I thought that the most important thing to do is to prepare and simulate the possible level of preparedness and immunity to unexpected crises. Dr. Ohtsuki's lecture was logical and focused on mentality while stimulating creativity to make it more accessible, and I learned something that I can use tomorrow.

    Education 20s Male

  • Convinced of the importance of prior consideration and preparation for crisis situations. The theme is consistent throughout the cases, and it is possible to think about the previous cases while applying them. Also, Prof. Ohtsuki lectures very carefully and provides good explanations and follow-ups.

  • In the last session, I felt that the multifaceted crisis management that I learned in this course was integrated into one in the summary of the crisis management of the Everest climb. I learned a lot from the lecture, which helped me to organize and understand each process in chronological order, from the individual level to the corporate and national levels. Thank you very much.

    Clerical 30s Male

  • Great knowledge about finance and real life experiences of the teachers.

    Clerical 20s Male

  • It would be nice to prevent a "crisis" before it happens, but it is difficult, but we can prepare in advance what to do when we face it. I was reminded of this once again.

    Clerical 30s Female

  • I now understand that we need to be prepared for a crisis because we don't know when it will come.

    Management 50s Male

  • It was an opportunity for me to become aware of crises on a daily basis that I would normally think about only after they occur. I strongly felt that as a leader, I must be able to interpret news stories about Japan's finances, conflict risks, etc., to what extent I can be aware of crises and consider trends and responses.

    Clerical 40s Male

  • I was able to learn from a wide range of perspectives, from macroeconomics to individual behavior, from the perspective of cirisis management. The lectures from the perspective of finance, which is the professor's specialty, were also thought-provoking and informative.

    Clerical 30s Male

  • I was able to learn about the fraud triangle and management and countermeasures in times of crisis by comparing them to my own organization. I was also able to learn about crises in the economy through mini-case discussions. Since I do not have much of an economic perspective in my daily work, this seminar provided me with new knowledge.

    Clerical 40s Male

  • I thought it was an excellent opportunity to think about how to deal with Crisis in my own company by simulating Crisis problems, which are usually difficult to predict and difficult to experience, and to use the experience as a reference for ideas for specific countermeasures.
