NUCB Business Schools Successfully Renew EQUIS Accreditation
On September 27, 2024, NUCB Business School officially received notification from EFMD (The European Foundation for Management Development, headquartered in Brussels, Belgium) that it has successfully passed the EQUIS (The European Quality Improvement System) re-accreditation review. EQUIS is recognized for its focus on assessing the internationalization of institutions, and only educational and research institutions that pass its rigorous evaluation (covering over 90 criteria, including the quality of academic programs and research activities) are granted accreditation. As of September 2024, only 223 business schools worldwide have earned EQUIS accreditation.
Obtaining international accreditation demonstrates that an institution's activities are globally recognized, and it serves as a key evaluation metric for MBA and management education, widely used by corporations and organizations. The three international accreditations—AACSB (USA), AMBA (UK), and EQUIS (Europe)—are collectively known as the "Triple Crown." Business schools that achieve all three are considered symbols of the highest excellence. In September 2021, our institution became Japan's first "Triple Crown" school and joined an elite group of about 100 schools worldwide, representing less than 1% of all business schools globally. With the successful re-accreditation of EQUIS, we are confident that our international recognition will continue to grow. We remain committed to enhancing the quality of management education and providing leadership training that drives Asia forward.
