Exploring Business Issues and Ethics with Prof. Law

#MBA #ClassReport

Prof. Law

At the rate of information exchange and the level of social consciousness in modern consumers today, how corporations in the public eye respond to and deal with ethical dilemmas can vastly affect their success or failure. Understanding how to balance traditional concerns of profit and solvency with the newer concerns of an evolving moral zeitgeist is key to managing successful organizations.

In Business Issues and Ethics, participants deepen their understanding of possible ethical issues embedded in business decisions. They can then make an ethically-sound judgement on what or what not to pursue by considering the impacts on different stakeholder groups involved in the business in general and the specific decision to be made.

On Day 3 of the course, participants debated potential responses to ethical dilemmas, with iPhone backdoors and the Carlson Company's commitment to fighting human trafficking at the center of the discussion.
