Abstract

Turkey’s first GSM company Turkcell was founded in 1994 by the joint efforts of Murat Vargi and Mehmet Emin Karamehmet. During its run, Turkcell as a company (and the founders as individuals) had several problems and made several strategic decisions. Key issue in the case is whether the Turkcell company continue to grow and survive in the highly competitive telecommunications sector.
