Nagoya University of Commerce and Business 2012
Abstract
The case is written based on the author’s experience. He was a second year MBA student who assisted an undergraduate course that conducted industry-university cooperated community projects. The course was aimed to develop students' practical employability skills through practical activities. There were over 50 students enrolled in the course, and they were divided into six teams that worked to promote the cities and towns around the university. The roof garden project, aimed to promote new agricultural crops, was one of those activities that students were involved. They went to the garden to water and take care of crops, and the author was in charge of organizing students’ dispatch. Even though he designed the operation so that every student would have equal opportunities and fewer burdens, he faced the student’s truant.
