Abstract

Lenovo Group Ltd, as a prominent Chinese multinational company, started with eleven employees and 200,000 RMB in year 1984, experienced several crises as well as bankruptcy. Currently headquarters in Beijing China, United States and other famous cities and has operations from designing, developing and manufacturing computers (including personal computers, workstations and servers), mobile devices and peripheral devices to providing IT services and solutions to all business environments. Although Lenovo suffered from financial crisis in 2008, it has gradually recovered and is growing steadily. In the second quarter of 2013, for the first time it became the world's largest personal computer vendor by unit sales, slightly surpassed Hewlett-Packard Company. Now in 2014, it is facing a turning point of the unpredictable future, what’s next step? Exploring more opportunities in its dominant industry, or diversify into other industries its business that failed before.
