Abstract
Ernesto Tan Mantiong, newly appointed CEO, has been reviewing the past 12 months ever since he took the helm of Jollibee Foods Corporation (JFC), founded in 1978 and the largest quick service restaurant (QSR) in the Philippines and in Asia. With over $1.94 billion of sales and a total of 2,933 stores (2,317 local and 616 international) across the world, Ernesto still plans to aim high and double the company’s revenue in the next five years. Another goal is for JFC to compete internationally and become in the top five QSR globally. With aggressive future expansion in China, United States and ASEAN region, the new CEO is contemplating whether these market entry projects is worth while considering the local Philippine market is still growing at a very fast pace.
