Abstract

The theme of this case is social entrepreneurship or "social entrepreneurship. In social entrepreneurship, "knowledge creation" and "resource mobilization" are two important elements, and through the case of a project that the author practiced to develop a cure for an intractable disease, the author explains how resource mobilization (fundraising) in social entrepreneurship is an essential issue for social entrepreneurs. In this case, the author discussed how to propose the legitimacy of the business to funders and stakeholders and how to obtain funding in the context of the interface between social value and business value, which can be said to be an essential issue for social entrepreneurs. We would like to make this a case for considering what needs to be done to realize social innovation.
