Abstract
Philips Japan is the Japanese subsidiary of Royal Philips of the Netherlands, a health technology company that provides comprehensive solutions through a series of healthcare processes. Currently, the company is aiming to shift from traditional "product sales" to "service sales," and one of the products that is attracting attention within the company is a solution for the intensive care area, for which the main character is in charge. This product has already been in use in the U.S. for many years, and Mr. Kishida is in charge of its development in Japan. The main character is in charge of the Japanese rollout of this product, and the various problems and struggles he faces in developing this new product in Japan will be discussed in order to clarify the formulation and implementation of business strategies, the challenges involved, and the decisions that must be made in order to realize the Japanese rollout.
