Abstract

Media.Net is an AdTech company founded in 2010 by an Indian Entrepreneur who believed that in order to have a successful startup and compete with the giant of the industry it is important to focus on one niche and work on it till you know everything about it. With this belief the company today ranks as the second largest AdTech company in the world globally by revenue. The company is an Ad Network and is a direct competitor to Google AdSense. It works with notable publishers to help them generate revenue through online advertisements on their websites. Though the company being the second largest in the advertising sector, the revenue Gap between the Industry’s Big Fish (Google AdSense) and Media.Net is vast. Over the years it has come up with several strategies in order to compete with AdSense in the Media Buying Industry and today stands as a strong competition to AdSense. Its discovery of “contextual advertising” in 2012 makes it the first mover in this field. With the start of 2022 the Manager of the Business Development Team Mr. Shashank Mehra comes up with three proposals which can help the company become the premium choice of its customers. As he and his team think of submitting the proposal to the higher management, Mehra has his doubts about the direction the company should choose to go. Will the new innovations help them in becoming the favorite of their customers or should the company continue with its current strategy. The direction he would take would affect the trust of the company’s current customers.
