Takehiko Isobe

Biography

Professor Isobe is Professor Emeritus of Keio University. After graduating from Keio University with a B.A. in Economics in 1981, he joined the Izutsuya Corporation. He received his M.B.A. from Keio in 1991 and his Ph.D. in 1996, and was appointed Professor of the Faculty of Commerce at Ryutsu University. In 2005, he became a professor at the Kobe University Institute of Economic Management, then at the Graduate School of Business Administration, Keio University in 2007, and joined the NUCB Business School faculty as a professor in 2023.

Since 2008, he has also served as Director of the Institute of Enterprise Management, where he currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors. He also serves as Associate Editor for the Asia Pacific Journal of Management and on the Editorial Board for the Journal of International Management (Management International Review). He has received numerous awards, including the Best Paper Award at the Asia Academy of Management Conference in 2004 and 2006.
