Biography
Dr. Osamu Ueda is a lawyer and international business management consultant. After graduating from the Faculty of Law at the University of Tokyo, Professor Ueda proceeded to the MBA program at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. He obtained his doctorate in law at Seikei University. After gaining experience in foreign exchange and financial loans at the Tokyo Bank (now Mitsubishi UFJ Bank), he worked in strategy consulting at Booz & Company (now PwC Strategy&), one of the world's four biggest business consulting firms. He led LexisNexis Japan, one of the most outstanding database firms globally, and continues to oversee its operation in the Japanese market in his role as CEO. Since 2008, he has also been in charge of the revitalization of Japan Airlines (JAL) and Livedoor Co., Ltd. of AlixPartners, the No.1 consulting firm in corporate reconstruction in Japan. Professor Ueda has more than 30 years of experience in managerial consulting and provides specialized advice to corporate managers.
