What can I do if I cannot attend class due to my work schedule?

Attendance of more than two-thirds of the course hours for each course is required for course completion. Attendance of less than two-thirds of the course hours will result in an Incomplete, which counts as a -1 grade point, and no credits will be awarded for the course. Absences can be authorized by the Administration Office, permitting up to two days of absence without penalty depending on the course and course instructor. Approval of the Official Report of Absence application form is determined based on validity of reason, such as notifiable infectious disease, job interviews, or business trips, and approval from the course instructor in the case of multiple days of absence. It should also be noted that absences, regardless of whether or not they are approved, will greatly impact class participation scores and therefore may result in a low final grade for the course. Make-up classes are generally not made available.
