For the third consecutive year since resuming outbound study tour modules hosted by overseas partners, NUCB Business School proudly held its 2024 Study Tour in collaboration with National Chengchi University College of Commerce (NCCU). Following successful programs in Taiwan (2022) and Thailand (2023), this year’s study tour brought us back to Taiwan to reaffirm NUCB Business School’s commitment to providing world-class global business experiences.

Led by Dean Prof. Seiichiro Iwasawa and Dean for External Relations Prof. Kenji Yokoyama, the program welcomed 53 participants from across NUCB Business School’s campuses and programs for an unparalleled opportunity to engage with Taiwan’s top academic minds and industry leaders with classroom sessions and company visits arranged by NCCU's Office of International Programs.

The program opened with an introduction to Taiwan’s economic and business landscape, setting the stage for four days of high-impact learning. Participants attended expert-led sessions on topics such as "Global Economic Trend" by Dr. Edward Chow, "Alliance and Business Strategy" by Dr. Don Jyh-Fu Jeng, and "ESG and Net-Zero Transition" by Dr. Sonia Ming-Shiow Lo. These discussions provided invaluable insights into the region’s economic outlook, competitive strategies, and sustainability challenges.

Beyond the classroom, company visits allowed participants to gain firsthand exposure to Taiwan’s thriving business ecosystem. A highlight of the tour was the visit to FSP Group, where students engaged directly with senior executives to analyze market penetration strategies for Japan. Additionally, visits to the TSMC Museum of Innovation, ShenYen Teppanyaki, and Digibionic provided diverse perspectives on Taiwan’s technology, hospitality, and healthcare industries. The program’s signature group project challenged participants to develop strategic recommendations for FSP Group’s Japan expansion, culminating in a dynamic final presentation evaluated by a panel of esteemed judges from academia and industry.

As NUCB Business School continues to expand its global outreach, the annual Study Tour program remains a cornerstone of its commitment to experiential learning. This annual program provides ambitious professionals with the opportunity to immerse themselves in international business environments, build strategic networks, and develop the global mindset essential for today’s business leaders. We look forward to welcoming the next cohort for another transformative journey next year.
