DDP Voice: Andrea, ESAN
Although Andrea Idarraga is originally from Colombia she decided to do her MBA at the ESAN Graduate School of Business in Peru, which has a double degree partnership with the NUCB Business School. The distance from Latin America to Japan is vast, and the cultural differences are just as wide so there was a lot for Andrea to look forward to as a one year MBA student in Nagoya. She shares her background and story for coming to the NUCB Business School below.
I have attended the first half of my MBA in ESAN, recognized as Peru’s best business school. It stands out for its Internationalization efforts and AACSB and AMBA dual accreditation that gave me the unique and remarkable opportunity to study a double degree program in one of the leading economies in the world, Nagoya.
My time at the NUCB Business School helped me to grow in areas such as: hands-on experience, management theory, and international perspective and networking. Learning from company visits such as Toyota I opened my vision of doing business with new Asia by getting first-hand insights. Also, the case study methodology provided me new visions from small to large companies and by the cultural diversity discussions in every class I achieved a complete global business environment.
I believe that studying in Japan is an enriching experience both personally and professionally speaking, it has been definitely the path that will best prepare me for the road ahead. It fulfilled my expectations and enhanced my corporate background, giving me the superior global learning experience that represents the door to a new view of the business world.
The NUCB Business School has 130 elite global partner institutions in 54 countries around the world. As the most globally oriented business school in Central Japan and one of the top leading business schools in all of Japan, the emphasis on study abroad and international exchange is a key driver of the mission at the NUCB Business School.
