Abstract

This case firstly is to introduce silicon wafer foundry business which belongs to the supplying eco-system of semiconductor components within the supply chain of electronic products, and discuss the business model with value proposition to customers. Secondly this case focuses on the future challenges of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), which is the world's first and largest dedicated semiconductor foundry, and holds the worldwide number one position in wafer foundry market around 20 years.
