Our SDGs Project course featured in Keiho Home News
The SDGs Project course, bringing together industry stakeholders from the Ricoh Group, government stakeholders from the nearby city of Ena in Gifu Prefecture, and students and faculty of our institution to find innovative ways to channel corporate efforts toward sustainability, was covered in online and print editions of the Keiho Home News.
"This year, Ricoh Ena no Mori Nakasendo Satoyama Council, Ena City Hall, and Ena City International Association participated in the SDG project of NUCB Business School as a cooperating organization. Seventeen international students from 16 countries participated in four virtual class sessions to deepen their understanding of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals set by the United Nations General Assembly in 2015. The final class at the end of last year was about how to utilize the "Ricoh Ena Forest" in the future through innovative proposals.
Naohisa Yoshiyasu ( 65 ) , a project participant who has been involved in the business as a Ricoh Elemex employee for many years and is the secretary and accountant of the Ricoh Ena no Mori Nakasendo Satoyama Council, said, "It is meaningful for international students to visit the site. It was an opportunity. I would like to contribute to the development of the next generation and the revitalization and development of the community through activities, not just environmental conservation."
