Maxence Rousson landed in Japan in late Summer 2018 to embark on a one-year double degree program between his home institution at NEOMA Business School and the NUCB Business School in Nagoya, Japan. He shares his background and story for coming to the NUCB Business School below.

After a Master degree at NEOMA Business School in France and several professional experiences in investment banking and consulting, I decided to apply for the double degree program at the NUCB Business School in Nagoya, the only AASCB and AMBA dual accredited Japanese university.

I was fortunate enough to be able to attend the one year Global Leader Program at the NUCB Business School. The experience has been insightful and inspiring and both professors and students with whom I was able to engage have been incredibly talented and a pleasure to meet and work alongside. The curriculum gave me a better understanding of the reality of business.

The proximity with Tokyo, the largest stock exchange in Asia, enabled me to meet investment banking professionals and to write my case study – equivalent of a master thesis – on the first asset manager in Japan to offer a quantitative investment fund which integrates extra-financial factors. But Nagoya is also the perfect departure point to travel across Japan and throughout South East Asia. Thank you to the NUCB Business School for this great year!

The NUCB Business School has 130 elite global partner institutions in 54 countries around the world. As the most globally oriented business school in Central Japan and one of the top leading business schools in all of Japan, the emphasis on study abroad and international exchange is a key driver of the mission at the NUCB Business School.
