There's nothing quite like some costumed carousing to bring out the Frontier--and other types of--Spirit! Students new and old were invited to join the Fall 2022 Welcome Party and invited to dress appropriately for the occasion, which was held on the Sunday evening before Halloween.
Over one hundred students and faculty members gathered to take part in the revelry, toasting to our fall enrollees and feasting on a bountiful harvest after a long weekend of classes came to a close. By the end of the night, those who had joined as strangers cemented bonds as NUCB Business School students, regardless of language, nationality, or age.
The evening began with the usual kenbu performance for international students, a taste of Japanese culture by EMBA alumnus Yuji Ando, representing the Denshow Platform for showcasing traditional Japanese arts. His performance was applauded by Dean Seiichiro Iwasawa, who introduced faculty members and staff in attendance before toasting to the students and their success.
His toast certainly wasn't the last of the evening, however. The bar opened and the buffet table was unveiled, much to the delight of parched and famished students, who took to the fare with much enthusiasm and clinked their glasses throughout the evening of bouncy dance club classics and spirited conversation.
