Certification Program 《Weekend MBA School》

#MBA #Certification #Program

This program is being implemented in the European and American Business Schools as Executive Education (Education for working people). This refers to a program (Certificate Program (hereafter referred to CP)) that teaches the MBA program from a period ranging a couple of days to one week by teachers who focus on topics that target working people enriched with practical experience. One of the features of the CP is that emphasis is placed on educating working people once again, and this only requires resumes and simple interviews, rather than granting credits and entrance exams to the MBA.

In Japan, “MBA Essentials” from NUCB Business School is the first school to be certified by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, and provides an environment that allows systematic study of management on Saturdays and Sundays only. A study certificate will be awarded by obtaining a unit (12 credits), which is equivalent to 140 hours. This corresponds to approximately half the learning volume of the MBA program (degree) in one year, and applicants are given the eligibility to take the exams for the MBA program (exam through interview).

According to the 2007 School Education Law revisions, a “Certification Program System” was established in universities, graduate schools, junior colleges, technical colleges, and vocational schools (hereinafter referred to as "universities" etc.), and it was enacted on December 26. Efforts have been made in universities and other institutions to provide the society with results of their education and research through courses such as certification and open courses. However, in order to promote more aggressive social contribution in addition to degree programs that target students, a certain coherent study program (certification program) for working people who are not students is available, and a certificate can be issued in accordance with the law for those who are able to complete the course. (Article 105 of the Act etc.).
