MBA examination qualifications

There is an unspoken rule that to be eligible to take the MBA examination, you must have at least three years of experience as a working adult (with five or more years of experience recommended). The meaning of this rule is clear: requiring talent to have experience as working adults enriches the MBA educational experience. Furthermore, for EMBAs, this requirement shifts to at least five years of experience as a working adult (with 10 of more years of experience recommended). The program is targeted at section managers in their mid-30s and focuses on the generation expected to make decisions from a company-wide perspective. Incidentally, almost all European business schools require practical work experience (and, in some cases, experience in management positions). U.S. business schools generally don't expressly specify business experience as a requirement, but in reality, participants in MBA programs there tend to be in their twenties and thirties, while participants in EMBA programs tend to be in their thirties and forties.
