Managers have the need for visioning, long-term thinking, and data-driven decision making based upon a knowledge of their industry, ecosystem, and unconquered market space. This course helps managers develop the skills to perform external and internal analyses for companies, and to evaluate the dynamics of competition. Students will learn how to conduct strategic analysis using frameworks and tools, such as ecosystem analysis. At the end of the course students will understand strategy formulation and execution.
Students will be required to conduct a written case analysis and present a write-up based upon thoughtful and timely analysis and contribution to the discussion. In addition to the individual submission of a case study, students will be asked to submit discussion related to their cases and the relevant strategic model in order to bring together meaningful case discussion.
