The 9th issue of the NUCB Business School ‘Insight’ magazine has been released and distributed to our national and global partner institutions. Featuring content ranging from articles written by faculty members about trending topics of research, to excerpts from cases developed by the recipients of the Case Award 2019, the new issue provides updates on the happenings within the halls, classrooms, and offices of Japan’s only dual AACSB and AMBA accredited institution of higher education.
Insight provides an opportunity for NUCB Business School to highlight the accomplishments of both our students and faculty members in the previous year, contributing to a tradition of continuing excellence.
The case award segment reports on the various cases focusing on issues and problems in a variety of industries, including health management, aviation, finance, and automobile manufacturing. The case development committee at NUCB Business School has selected several cases as winners of the Case Award 2019. The organization and strength of the contents reflects the steady guidance provided by case advisors in seminar sessions.
The piece on the 2019 Research Award includes Prof. Ito’s research on the prevailing behavioral model in a social marketing context with a case study of an eco-point system to promote eco-policies in Toyota city, Japan and Prof. Takino's research work on Pareto efficiency in asset markets.
Prof. Sawatani, Prof. Frendy, Prof. Law, and Prof. Mohsin, who teach GLP courses on Service Design, Financial Analysis, Business Issues and Ethics, and Managing Multinational Business, respectively, all provide a summary of trending research topics in each of their specialized fields.
Contributing articles to Insight is a great opportunity for our faculty to promote their work, invite collaboration, and influence industry. For readers of Insight, it is a great opportunity to consider possibilities in their own research, analyze their own understanding, and, of course, learn about what is happening on the cutting edge of higher business education.
