In response, Professor Yuji Nagasawa initiated the "Healthcare Network" at the Tokyo Campus in the fall of 2014.
A kick-off event was also held at the Nagoya Campus on May 10, where Professor Nagasawa introduced the purpose of the subcommittee and an overview of the activities at the Tokyo Campus.
The Osaka Campus will start its activities in June.
The Healthcare Network consists of alumni and students, and has the following four objectives:
The following members are participating in the program: more than 40 at the Tokyo Campus, 35 at the Nagoya Campus, and about 20 at the Osaka Campus.
So far, the network has held discussions on the realization of open innovation in drug discovery, discussions with the president of a nursing and medical care venture, and discussions on strategies for pharmaceutical dispensaries.
After the Nagoya Campus kick-off, a reception was held.
Everyone who participated in the event actively exchanged opinions and information, and were eager for future activities.
If you are a current or former student involved in the pharmaceutical or medical industry and have not yet joined the Healthcare Network, please contact the Administration Office.
