Day1

  1. The Role of Corporate Finance and the Time Value of Money
This lecture begins with an overview of the differences between accounting and finance, the fundamental concepts of corporate finance, and its role. It also explains methods for quantitatively handling the value of cash flows occurring at different points in time.

  2. Risk, Return, and Cost of Capital
Building on the concepts of risk and return in finance, we will learn about the cost of capital as compensation for shareholders and creditors. We will further discuss the relationship between the cost of capital and corporate valuation.

Day2
