Rashmi Regmi comes from a family of real entrepreneurs. Her family operates restaurants in Nagoya offering Indian and Nepalese cuisine - both growing demographics in Nagoya. While working part-time, Rashmi began her studies in the Global Leader Program with the aim of building on the success of her family enterprise and taking it to new heights with her Master's degree that provides a holistic approach to management and business administration. She shares her background and story for coming to the NUCB Business School below.

Since my parents have been living in Nagoya for 18 years now, I had to come here to live with them after my undergraduate in Nepal. This gave me an opportunity to study abroad for the first time in my life which was very challenging to take. While I was searching for Master’s program offered in English, I got to know about the NUCB Business School. My first impression was ‘diversified students’ which helps to know different culture and perspective in class discussion and obviously the dual accredited ‘AASCB and AMBA’ business school in Japan. I was very clear this is what I wanted.

The experience in the NUCB Business School has been wonderful throughout these years. The case study teaching method adds value to the students to learn about real business from the professors with an amazing background who also takes you through their real life experiences that helps in career development. I feel fortunate enough to be a part of this program.

Since I run a family business in Nagoya, the insights from Japanese professors has helped me to grow professionally as it is very important to know the “Japanese way” and keep up with the trend being a foreigner and doing business in Japan.

The NUCB Business School has 130 elite global partner institutions in 54 countries around the world. As the most globally oriented business school in Central Japan and one of the top leading business schools in all of Japan, the emphasis on study abroad and international exchange is a key driver of the mission at the NUCB Business School.
