Hybrid

From June 1st to June 2nd, the Association of Asia Pacific Business Schools 2022 Academic Conference, sponsored by Peregrine Global Services and AMBA/BGA, was hosted by our institution and delivered in a hybrid format for both those in Japan and those who could only join us remotely. The conference chair, our Dean of External Relations Prof. Kenji Yokoyama, set the theme of this year's conference as "Teaching Innovation in Business Education," and the hybrid delivery of the event itself did not escape the attention of the many speakers from various prestigious institutions and organizations involved in providing higher education to Asia's budding business leaders. Among the topics discussed were the influence of technology on learning, and how case method practitioners and institutions have responded to these changes.

While most of the 90+ registered participants and speakers from more than 20 countries joined the sessions remotely, participants who were in Japan were welcomed on campus and joined our faculty in our hybrid auditorium to take in the sessions in person. Remote participants were no less involved than their on-campus counterparts, often praising fresh insights in the chat and deeply exploring the contents of each session during the Q&A time provided, popping in via the hybrid auditorium monitors to share their experiences at their institutions.

Opportunities to share best practices and discuss current issues allow the quality of education worldwide to improve, and its content to expand in new and important directions. Thank you to our sponsors, speakers, chairs, and attendees for joining us and taking part in a memorable, thought-provoking, and productive two days.
