Group Discussion

NUCB Business School hosted the 2024 AAPBS Case Teaching Workshop, bringing together professors from all over Asia to our campus for a 2-day schedule of events designed to provide tools and practical insights for getting the most out of students in a participant-centered learning environment.

With leading like-minded practitioners in the field of business education coming together to share their experiences, the participants formed a fast fellowship amongst themselves. Together, they dove into Harvard- and NUCB Business School-published cases taught by Professor Hakeem and Professor Lim of our institution, and Professor Hitesh Shukla of Saurashtra University (India). Stepping into the role of students during these sessions put the participants on the other side of the auditorium, giving them a different perspective on how to better facilitate case discussion and manage the experiential learning done in the classroom.

Workshop events such as these provide important opportunities for professors to connect with others outside of their own institutions, and find new ways to increase classroom engagement for the betterment of their schools and their students. Furthermore, it is a chance to foster a sense of community and support amongst the participants, who are aligned in the noble goal of producing a new generation of capable business leaders.
