Celebrating the semester's start at Fall 2024 Welcome Party

Every semester brings together a whole host of new faces and ideas to NUCB Business School, representing dozens of nationalities, industries, and personality types. Of course, in a participant-centered program, students engage in small group and plenary discussions, getting to know their classmates' approaches to problems, communication styles, and leadership abilities. To strengthen these bonds every semester, we invite the community of  faculty, alumni, senpai, and new students to a spirited and casual gathering to kick off the start of their studies with plenty of music and cheer.

As always, the festivities began with a performance by EMBA alumnus Seisho Ando, and accomplished kenbu (sword dance) practitioner and CEO of Denshow, a traditional arts performance platform. This semester also saw the return of Prof. Ryusuke Koyama's band The Frontiers, who provided musical accompaniment for the partygoers as they laughed, danced, and partied the night away.

Events bringing students of Japanese and International programs together foster new connections and enrich global perspectives, better informing the exchange of ideas that make NUCB Business School courses so engaging and enlightening. As one semester ends and another starts, reading aloud the familiar names of our graduates as they collect their degrees gives way to learning the names of new enrollees enrolling in their place, and we reaffirm the importance of our mission to develop innovative and ethical leaders with a Frontier Spirit. We wish all of our new students and alumni the best of luck as they continue on their journey of self-discovery and growth.
