NUCB Business School and Nikkei Collaborate to Host "Leading High Performance Teams" Series
The "Leading High-Performance Team" program, a completely new leadership development course based on the case method, was jointly developed by our school and Nikkei Business School. Following the success of the inaugural course last year, "Leading High-Performance Team 2024" was held over four days from November 7 (Thursday) to November 10 (Sunday) at the Nagoya campus. The program featured two tracks based on the medium of instruction: one in English and the other in Japanese.
Practical Learning through the Case Method
This year, in order to maximize the educational benefits of discussions, the course was held as a focused, four-day in-person session. The schedule for both tracks was identical. During the four days, all participants were able to network during lunch breaks in the Learning Salon on the third floor and at the networking event held after the first day’s lectures, which included both English and Japanese track participants.
Each class consisted of eight sessions, and discussions led by internationally experienced faculty members were conducted throughout. Participants felt their management experience was enhanced as they engaged in discussions based on real-world business cases. On the final day, many participants shared that the program offered valuable time to develop their ideas, something not often achievable during their daily work.
In late January, a follow-up training session (one day) will be held, featuring team communication exercises and a joint networking event.
