Welcoming HSE (Russia) Winter School: Insights into Japanese Family Business

The Higher School of Economics (HSE) Graduate School of Business, one of Russia’s top institutions, brought its Winter School on Japan Family Business to campuses from Osaka to Tokyo, with the Nagoya leg of the program hosted by NUCB Business School. Led by Prof. Sergei Shaposhnikov, the program immersed students in Japan’s business culture through lectures, company visits, and cultural experiences.

During their time at NUCB Business School, students engaged in sessions on Japanese management and innovation, culminating in specialized lectures on family businesses led by Prof. Kenji Yokoyama, our Dean for External Relations. The itinerary also included visits to leading companies and cultural landmarks, such as Nagoya Castle and the Toyota Commemorative Museum.
