Around Campus: Shimozono Park

#Campus #Life #Nagoya #Japan

Looking for a nice place to relax or study outdoors? We all get a little cramped inside from time to time so it's always nice to take a break and get some fresh air. Shimozono park is a short 3 minute walk south of Marunouchi Tower campus and offers plenty of shade the relaxing sound of the Japanese gardens' pools and waterfalls. Perfect for a quick break during lunch or in between class periods.

From around 11:45 to 1:00pm local restaurants and street vendors put out "Bento" (弁当) lunches for around 500 yen. With local ingredients and often hearty portion sizes, grabbing a bento and taking your lunch in the park is just one of the great things about experiencing life in a busy Japanese city like Nagoya.
