77 New International Students Enroll for the Fall Semester, Representing 22 Different Countries.

This fall, the NUCB Business School welcomed another fresh crop of young professionals and students from every corner of the world. Their fresh perspectives will contribute to one of the most diverse international student bodies in Japan, now made up of over 110 students from 40 countries.

As varied as their perspectives and experiences may be, they have more than demonstrated through their unabashed willingness to volunteer for events, network with visiting students, and participate in campus activities that they share one thing in common: the Frontier Spirit!

The forecasted arrival of Typhoon Hagibis (known as Typhoon 19 in Japan) brought with it the suspension of transportation services leading to the cancellation of classes, postponement of events, and eventually campus closures - but it didn't dampen the Frontier Spirit! Thankfully, on the outer edges of its path, the city of Nagoya emerged from Hagibis unscathed and no injury or damage was sustained by any NUCB Business School students or facilities.

The Fall 2019 Welcome Party was held for students two weeks after the originally scheduled date and was a fun beer-and-pizza mixer event held for all students in honor of their new classmates. Students enjoyed traditional Japanese performance "kenbu" and tempura freshly cooked by the Administration Office staff.

The NUCB Business School has 118 elite global partner institutions in 54 countries around the world. As the most globally oriented business school in Central Japan and one of the top leading business schools in all of Japan, the emphasis on study abroad and international exchange is a key driver of the mission at the NUCB Business School.
