Professor Seiichiro Iwasawa appointed Academic Advisor to Daiwa Asset Management Co.

Professor Seiichiro Iwasawa has been appointed as an Academic Advisor of Daiwa Asset Management Co., Ltd. from April 1, 2021.


Professor Seiichiro Iwasawa

Professor Seiichiro Iwasawa, who specializes in financial and behavioral economics, has been active in both the academic and business worlds.  He worked as a security analyst and a quantitative analyst at Nomura Research Institute, and as a chief Japan equity strategist at Nomura Securities. Since 2012, he has been teaching as a professor at NUCB Business School.  He has taught Behavioral Economics, Corporate Finance, and Economics for Executives at NUCB Business School, and has received the Outstanding Teaching Award for four consecutive years, which is given to the faculty member who receives the highest evaluation from students.

He has published a number of research papers in the International Review of Economics and Finance, and his book, "Behavioral Economics: The MBA in Action Series 04" was published by Discover Twenty-One in 2020.

Professor Iwasawa received his Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University.
