Global Talents Meet Central Japan Startups at the 3rd Annual JETRO Collaborative Workshop
NEW #BusinessSchool
NUCB Business School collaborated with JETRO Nagoya and the Central Japan Startup Ecosystem Consortium to organize a dynamic startup workshop, "Global Minds, Sustainable Solutions." Held at Nagoya's very own Station Ai, Japan's newest and largest innovation hub, this marked the third successful collaboration between NUCB Business School and JETRO Nagoya. Leading the session was Prof. Hoe Chin Goi, who introduced the Design Thinking framework and guided participants through the stages of innovative thinking to tackle "wicked problems"—complex challenges without clear solutions.
The event brought together CEOs and representatives from six forward-thinking startups—Epsilon Bioanalytics, Amatama, Doudoudoujin, Soteria8, PR Aerospace, and Prodrone—alongside 30 international students from nearly 20 countries. Participants worked collaboratively to design solutions for building sustainable societies. Prof. Goi’s guidance empowered them to explore creative approaches while fostering an environment where ideas flourished. Beyond problem-solving, the event also offered valuable networking opportunities, enabling participants to forge connections and explore potential business and internship collaborations.
Such workshops exemplify the value of programs supported by NUCB Business School, offering students unparalleled opportunities to engage with industry leaders and global peers. By participating in initiatives like these, students refine their problem-solving and leadership skills while addressing real-world challenges. These experiences, grounded in practical application and innovative thinking, reflect NUCB Business School’s dedication to preparing students to excel in a globalized, rapidly evolving business landscape.
