Open Webinar #7: Rethink Design Thinking and Mobility: "Innovation in COVID-19 Crisis"
On July 9th, NUCB Business School held the first webinar session of the July leg of the Leading in Turbulent Times series. The session’s featured speaker was Dr. Hoe Chin Goi, a faculty member whose research and courses relate to innovation, design thinking, and sustainable development goals.
A cornerstone of Prof. Goi’s philosophy of innovation is the importance of collaboration and coordination with stakeholders and consumers; his session was unique in that he invited a panel of NUCB Business School master’s degree students and an alumnus to share project work, research, and insights on data analysis with the attendees of the webinar.
Weaving the thread of design thinking innovation between them, the presenters touched on a range of topics including consumer pain points, data analysis with limited data, and the benefits and challenges of working with a diverse team of collaborators. Their individual contributions to the session were a testament to the efficacy of collaboration: attendees engaged with presenters in a vigorous discussion at the end of the session, making for a great start to the series in July.
