Network Report
The "Research and Survey Project," one of the two subcommittees newly created by the Freelance Network from 2021, was held online on Wednesday, June 9.
This time, the participants discussed the theme of "How do companies deal with their employees' side jobs?" With the recent changes in the way we work, we are hearing more and more news about major companies lifting the ban on side jobs. In this context, various issues were brought to light, such as how companies should think about employees' side jobs, to what extent they should support them, and what companies can gain from employees' side jobs.
The Network has been working to create "cases" that can be used as teaching materials for MBAs. Until now, most of the cases have focused on issues in corporate management. However, in response to the recent changes in the way we work, we have created case materials that focus on the increasing number of freelancers and their surrounding environment, in order to provide practical learning that is more in line with modern practice.
The Freelance Network is an organization for current students and graduates of our school who want to start their own business or create a side business (double business) to mutually support each other's entrepreneurial activities, and for participants to actively improve their skills and explore knowledge. The activities of the organization are to support each other before and after starting a business, and to help each other to develop their business, and to explore the skills and knowledge of freelancers.
