Taxation Issues and Economic Policy

Entry Open

Students observe Japanese taxes and government expenditures, understand their respective problems, and think what kind of administrative and financial reforms are needed to develop the Japanese economy. Students can learn to have a deeper awareness of problems based on international comparisons and common sense in management, rather than ordinary discussions. These include, for example, the implications of debt redemption costs, the necessity of income redistribution, and the relationship between fiscal and monetary policies.

Review

  • The difficulty level of the assignments was appropriate and helped me to organize my thoughts.

    Management 40s Male

  • The major lesson I learned was to start thinking about policy issues surrounding taxation from a broader perspective.

    Professional 40s Male

  • The connection between taxation, finances, and government was very clear and I enjoyed the lively discussion.

    Professional 30s Female

  • Regarding the field of public finance, it was excellent to start with the financial balance of the Japanese government, which is familiar to us, and end with a comparison between the United States and Japan.

    Management 40s Male

  • It was a great opportunity because I had never thought about taxes or national finances.

    Sales 30s Male

  • As for finance, it was a field where I didn't know the correct answer, and that's why I heard so many opinions and it was very helpful.

    Independent business 30s Male

  • The instructor was deeply nostalgic, knowledgeable, and listened very carefully to the opinions of the students.

    sales 30s Female

  • He taught me new things and issues that I had vaguely heard in the news. My understanding of financial news has improved dramatically. Although I was dissatisfied with the use of taxes, I hadn't really thought about it, so it was a great opportunity.

    Management 50s Male

  • It was a great opportunity because I didn't have the opportunity to think about such a theme and was able to learn. Also, the explanation was easy to understand.

    Newspaper company 40s Female

  • I thought it was a wonderful point to interactively deepen each person's ideas and opinions.

    Independent business 50s Female

  • f I hadn't had the opportunity to take this class, I wouldn't have thought about the state of expenditures and taxes in countries that are not directly related to business, and when I actually took it, I realized that I was able to expand my knowledge about prior materials and teachers' comments. I am glad that I was able to complete this class. I was particularly impressed by the fact that the budget deficit is not always bad. I think it's a good opportunity to think about the kindness and macro aspects of the teacher.

    public servant 30s Male

  • I was able to learn about fiscal studies in an easy-to-understand manner, which is usually difficult to study.

    OfficeWorker 20s Male

  • I liked the fact that the assignment was to acquire knowledge and the discussion was to develop the content of the assignment. I also liked that the class style did not end with just expressing one's own opinion, such as by encouraging opposing opinions during the discussion.
