Leading Diversity in Organizations

Entry Open

Diversity within organizations is essential for the sustainable development of both the business world and society moving forward.Particularly within Japanese companies, which have long leveraged homogeneity as a strength, it is difficult to say that leaders sufficiently capable of practicing diversity-based organizational management have been adequately developed. Plan

This course aims to equip students with the theoretical framework and practical skills to advance diversity within organizations as a strategic management issue, rather than merely an ideal or ethical challenge. While organizations with diverse talent face heightened potential for conflict and structural disparities, effective management can enhance creativity, improve decision-making quality, and ultimately boost organizational performance. Building on insights from organizational behavior, human resource management, and social psychology, this course explores leadership approaches that translate diversity into organizational outcomes.
