We will explore the source of ideas through case studies of innovation in companies such as Apple and Sony, as well as in startups. We will also examine how to adapt the effectuation laws derived from the Sturpup study to companies.

###Day1 Session 1: Understanding Innovation
How has Apple been able to innovate? We will discuss what innovation is, what makes it difficult, how it happens, and whether there is a reproducible way to do it.

Session 2: New Business Creation
How was the new coffee market born? Using the birth of Starbucks as an example, we will discuss the process of new business creation.

Session 3: Re-entering the Business
This session will discuss how AIBO, which aimed to create a new market that had never existed before, was born and how it will be in the future.

Day2

Session 4: Creativity
In UK, a new energy service was started based on the principle of human behavior. This session will compare this with energy initiatives in Japan and discuss what approach should be taken.

Session 5: Realization Process of New Business
How was the Ice Hotel born? The process of realization will be discussed.

Session 6: Adapting to your company
Think of ideas to disrupt your existing business or new business that you are not currently doing. Discuss in groups.
Group work: Generating ideas other than existing businesses (problem finding and solving type learning)
