Spring 2026 Kicks Off with a Global Cohort at NUCB Business School

The start of a new academic year always brings a renewed sense of energy, and today at NUCB Business School, that feeling is clear. Despite the steady rain on this first day of the Spring 2026 semester, the campus is full of momentum. This term, we welcome a truly global cohort, with 111 degree-seeking international students and 36 exchange students, representing nearly 50 nationalities—bringing a wide range of perspectives that continue to shape the classroom experience.

With the semester now underway, students are excitedly participating in our first series of weekend courses:

• Innovation and Creative Thinking (MBA), led by Prof. Yasutomi Kitahara

• Strategies for Value Creation (CLD), led by Prof. Takehiko Isobe
• Critical Thinking (Executive Education), led by Prof. Takehiko Ito

The quick transition from graduation to the start of the semester is always a reminder of both what has just been achieved and what is still ahead. A new cohort begins their journey as another has just completed theirs, continuing the cycle of learning and growth. Looking ahead, the 2026 academic year will bring new opportunities through partner visits, exchanges, and experiences both inside and outside the classroom. Along the way, students will build connections that extend well beyond their time here.

Even on a rainy first day, the energy on campus is clear—and we look forward to seeing how the year unfolds.
