Biography

総合商社に在勤中に、企業派遣留学生としてアルゼンチンのラプラタ大学で商法を学んだほか、ニューヨーク、ロンドン、サンパウロなどの現地法人に駐在して、法務を中心に商社の海外拠点の経営に関わった。特にロンドンに所在する欧州・中東・アフリカ地域本部においてはチーフコンプライアンスオフィサー兼ジェネラルカウンセルとして法務およびコンプライアンスの指揮をとった。帰国後に、筑波大学大学院ビジネス科学研究科に学び、修士（法学）および博士（法学）を取得した。退職後は、総合商社での経験を活かして、コーポレートガバナンス、ビジネス倫理、リスクマネジメントを実務的視点から研究している。現在、東証一部上場企業の社外取締役をつとめる傍ら、法務省日本法令外国語訳推進会議の座長をつとめ、対内直接投資を振興するため法令の英訳を通じた海外への情報発信に尽力している。
