Advancing Women’s Global Leadership: NUCB Business School Hosts 2X Global and femUniti
NEW
The Center for Women’s Global Leadership (CWGL) at NUCB Business School, led by Associate Dean Professor Rebecca Kim, hosted two distinguished women leaders.
- Ms. Tatjana Gerling is the Japan Ambassador for 2X Global, a network of more than 150 investors and capital providers dedicated to unlocking gender-smart capital at scale across public and private markets globally.
- Ms. Setsu Suzuki is Co-Founder and CEO of femUniti Inc., an ecosystem and community designed to empower women entrepreneurs through collaborative learning, business expansion, and cross-border partnerships spanning Japan, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and India.
Prof. Rebecca Kim and the visiting leaders engaged in an active, three-way conversation connecting academia, international gender-smart capital, and local ecosystem building in Japan. The discussion centred on three key themes:
- Exploring Global Women’s Leadership: Exchanging perspectives on each participant's institutional background, core values, and personal journey to explore the intersection of gender leadership, gender-smart capital, entrepreneurship, and academic leadership.
- Collaboration on Case Development: Leveraging NUCB Business School's expertise in case writing and teaching to co-create gender leadership case studies for international dissemination beyond Asian business schools.
- Academic Partnership and Research: Exploring opportunities for the Center for Women’s Global Leadership to contribute academic perspectives, research, and collaboration, ensuring that developments on the ground can be formally documented and shared with the global community.
Building Partnerships for Future Impact
Looking ahead, this dialogue lays a vital foundation for generating lasting societal impact by uniting global business frameworks with local entrepreneurial growth and academic rigor. By planting these initial seeds of cross-sector collaboration, NUCB Business School, 2X Global, and femUniti aim to cultivate a resilient collaborative ecosystem that advances global women’s leadership and drives regional economic revitalization across Japan and the broader global community. These meaningful discussions will continue as all parties move forward toward concrete next steps for fostering women’s leadership.
