Financial Modeling for Business Managers

During the period of October 19th - 27th, the school welcomed a visiting professor, Dr. Tal Mofkadi, from the Eitan Berglas School of Economics at Tel Aviv University. Dr. Mofkadi holds a Ph.D in Financial Economics from Tel Aviv University and has previous experience as an assistant professor at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He is also the Managing Partner of a leading financial and economic consultancy firm in Israel (www.numerics.co.il) and is highly qualified in valuations, financial analysis and providing expert testimony in legal processes. He has co-authored two books in his field of Corporate Valuation and Finance.

The students of the Financial Modeling for Business Managers will develop the ability to build sophisticated financial models in Microsoft Excel that include proforma modeling, weighted average cost of capital and portfolio management.

This is the second year for Dr. Mofkadi to visit the NUCB Business School and his course has been highly rated by both students who have a specialization in the field of finance and students who have only basic understanding of corporate finance, accounting and statistics.
